Jen’s Daily Rant- Do I really want to go back to work?!

Hi Everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend! Mine was great but busy!  I have had a lot on my mind lately and don’t know what to do!  I think that  I want to go back to work!  I love being able to stay at home but I also miss interacting in the real world.  I really miss working in the medical field.  That’s where I get my “rush” so to speak.  I always said I was going back after princess Jada started kindergarten but I’m still home!  I have been thinking about it a lot lately but I don’t know if I am ready for those long hours again!  I am lucky that I am in a position that I know I can find a job in my field at anytime. I also like the fact that I won’t have to spend a lot of money on Nurses scrubs and a White lab coat compared to business wear if I decided to go back in the corporate world.

I even found myself thinking about going BACK to school yesterday to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife. This has always been my passion. Working labor and delivery gives me such a rush I can’t explain.  I would really love to be able to have more hands on. I guess it’s safe to say that I have a lot of decisions to make. I also know that I wouldn’t be as happy doing anything else, so I refuse to settle and just get a job or work in a department that I am going to hate.

So this question is for all you moms!! If you stay at home do you miss work? Do you often think about going back?? Do you see yourself going back?  Working moms!! How do you keep everything at home and work going, especially if you have a demanding job?  This is one of my biggest fears! I remember working all the time when the older 2 was little and by the time I came home I didn’t want to do nothing but go to bed. It was hell trying to get all the housework and etc done. Now that the kids are older, I have to think about all the after school activities, homework then HOUSEWORK!  Just thinking like that makes me say NOOO WHAT ARE YOU THINKING LOL!!
