My kids know that I am very strict when it comes to proper hygiene that includes brushing their teeth 2 times daily and sometimes even more! Lately I have noticed my oldest trying to slip so when I heard about the LISTERINE Oral Care Challenge from mom central I knew I wanted to do this!
To help with the candy frenzy last month, Listerine and Reach created “October Oral Care Challenge” for kids 6 and older to take with their parents—a great tip to get kids to imitate good oral hygiene routines. To complete the challenge, kids and Moms had to brush, floss and rinse every day, twice a day for three weeks—a key step in building a strong oral care foundation. We all hear about the importance of regular brushing and flossing for your oral care routine, but rinsing with a therapeutic mouthwash for 30 seconds twice daily, an additional but essential activity, helps reach those other parts of the mouth that harbor germs.
We received all the supplies we need to do this challenge. The kids actually enjoyed it and believe it or not, I seen improvements. I noticed that they were actually brushing longer and even flossing which they often skip on. My 5 year really enjoyed the challenge and hasn’t let anyone in the house forget its brush time LOL. She has always enjoyed brushing her teeth but she loved it even more with her Barbie rinse.
The makers of Listerine and Reach have also teamed up with America’s Toothfairy to launch “Trick or Treat for America’s Toothfairy,” a campaign to raise awareness of pediatric dental disease and help provide life changing care to underserved children.
