I have decided that I need my own section on my blog for my daily rants, since I have so many! Today starts the first day…Make sure you check back daily to read my rants where I refuse to hold anything back!
I am sure we all can remember our first school dances. Oh what memories! My first was in the 6th grade. I don’t think I ever missed a middle school dance. Those were the days. With my son in middle school, I was looking forward to his first dance and hearing all about it! Well, I am sad to say I don’t think it’s going to happen! The first dance was a back to school dance and he didn’t want to go. I was ok with that since I knew he was new to middle school and it was a big change. Today I learn about a v-day dance posted on the school’s FB page! I saw all kids talking about going. I was thinking mmm that’s odd Dre hasn’t said anything about a dance. When he got home I ask was he going LOL! He was like NO, I ask why not. Mom none of my friends are going and it’s lame. Dre how do you know its lame you have never been? Because I just do mom. Then he asks HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT IT ANYWAYS!? Dre I told you I know everything! He just smiled and gave me that look like yea.
I am actually in shock he don’t want to go. He is very social and has many friends. He plays sports and in a lot of other clubs and such. I can’t blame it on him just being shy. I have always thought it would be Jasmine who refuses to do any school activities like this. Of course I am not going to push them into going but as a mom I admit I am a little sad! LOL how crazy does this sound right? It’s just a dance! Hopefully next year Jasmine will shock me and actually go then just maybe he will go so I will have 2 kids going to the same dance for the first time together! If not I guess I can wait till my princess Jada gets old enough. We all know she is going to be the life of the party and never miss any chance of being all dressed up! LOL
