As I am arranging my new house, I am realizing how much work the living room needs. There are a lot of things I want to do as well as some other items I would like to replace. So, I’ve decided to make a list of these items so I can research prices on everything I’d like to do. It’s the first room you see in the house, so I want it to be nice and welcoming.
The first thing I want to do is get rid of my coffee table. It needs to be replaced very badly. I want something a little more modern. As I’ve been looking at coffee tables, I have found a lot of different styles I like. As much as I love glass top tables, I don’t think they’d be a good idea. I found a really cute wooden table with wicker drawers that accent it nicely. The price tag isn’t too bad, so it is definitely one I will keep in consideration.
One thing I have also considered for the entry way are nesting tables. Nesting tables add an interesting look to any room. I found a nice set of two where I could decorate them with pictures and candles. They would also provide me with an immediate place to put my keys so I don’t lose them.
When it comes to living room décor, there are so many different options. I want an updated look, something a little more modern. I am still looking at the different possibilities. I have also considered something a little more country too. The mister really likes the country style. Maybe we’ll be able to find something in the middle that suits us both. I hope we’ll be able to agree on something to make our living room seem inviting.
