I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating

As many of you know I am a big supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I can’t say enough how much love I have for this organization. That is why I am happy to announce that I am Boys & Girls Club (BGCA) Back-to-School Ambassador! The Boys & Girls club has been a lifeline for so many young children including myself. As a child I remember spending many days at our local club after school and during the summer when my mother had to work. I have seen so many lives that have been transformed just because of this organization. As a kid I just enjoyed the fun activities and hanging with my friends, now as an adult I have a better appreciation for the program as a whole. The truth is if it wasn’t for Boys & Girls Clubs of America many of the kids that they service would be home alone, hanging with the wrong crowd getting in trouble, or just not having the adult support and supervision that they need.
That is why I am so happy to share with you that BGCA has partnered with Jcpenney for the Jcpenney cares round up campaign. In the month of July, customers were able to round-up their purchase to the nearest whole dollar while shopping at Jcpenney, allowing people like myself to help make a difference in supporting afterschool programs at Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. The best part is 100% of donations raised will go towards BGCA. This month while I was school shopping it was nice to be able to give back to an organization that has given me and so many others so much. I have been in Jcpenney’s three times this month and rounded up each time. It might not seem like a lot but as we know every little bit helps. Plus the more people that agree to round up the more money they earn! It is a win-win!
Even though the month of July is coming to end please don’t let that stop you from donating to the cause! You can donate to your local club anytime or donate online. If you prefer you can also donate your time, which don’t cost a dime! So if you are looking for a way to help local kids in your area and give back to the community make sure to check out www.greatfutures.org/backtoschool for information on the BGCA -Jcpenney partnership and other ways you can give back!
