I love to bake. However, I admit I only really do it during the Holidays. Last month I learned about the McCormick Great Spring Flavors Baking Contest by Mom Central.

I was really excited. McCormick brand has always been a staple in our house. My Grandmother wouldn’t use anything else, so of course we all carried on the same tradition. I thought this would be a perfect bonding moment with my older daughter who loves to bake. I saw so many great ideas on pintrest that I wanted to try. If you follow me on pintrest I am sure you seen my board and pins. So hopefully some of you entered! However, family things and work came up that prevented me in entering. The Contest ended April 22.
I still had all the goodies that were sent to help me with my baking, so today I decided to let my daughter bake some cupcakes after she got home from school. After looking at all the ideas she decided to take McCormick’s Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting recipe and make it into cupcakes. She did very good job. She divided the mix out so she could bake regular and mini size cupcakes.

The recipe turned out very good. However, she was a little upset that I didn’t have any sprinkles other than blue! She is planning on doing more baking this weekend with her cousin so I can’t wait to see what she picks!
