For the last few weeks, we have been testing out the Camelio Tablet by Vivitar. If anyone really knows me, they know that I am a die-hard Apple girl but since my daughter’s school recently has started having the kids bring their own devices, I noticed that a few of the apps that are required are not available for IOS! So, this left me searching for the perfect android tablet. So when I was contacted to review the Camelio, it was perfect timing! Jada is only 10, and I didn’t want to spend a lot on a tablet for her to just take to school since she already has a tablet she uses at home. So, when the Camilio arrived, I must admit that I was very impressed! The set up was simple, and we loved the slick look.
Perfect Family Tablet
It was like it was designed especially for our family’s needs. It has all the power of a full-featured tablet like front/rear cameras, built-in microphone, and speakers that makes it perfect for video chatting. It comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, which will run most all apps available in Google’s Play Store and Vivitar Camelio Personality Packs.
Personality Packs

Personality Packs are uniquely designed accessory kits that were created especially for the Camelio Tablet. Vivitar made them to enhance the experience for the kids in the family. The pack includes theme-oriented wallpaper, videos, music, and special widgets all designed around the following licensed themes; Hot Wheels, Barbie, Monster High, Hello Kitty and more. The personality packs make it easy for each family member to customize a user profile, specifically for their likes and preferences set just for them. The personality pack also includes a protective case uniquely colored to match the theme that will keep the Camelio tablet safe in your little ones hands.

Jada received the Barbie personality pack and loved it!

Conclusion
For just under $100, this tablet is a very affordable option for kids. However I will be honest when I say that I don’t really feel this is a great option for adults power users. The Vivitar Camelio 7” Android Tablet works perfect for Jada. She takes it to school every day and even seems to enjoy it more than her iPad mini! It is a full-featured touch screen tablet with a 1.1GHz processor, 1GB of memory and 4GB of storage (expandable) for downloading apps from the Google Play Store. What we really like about the Camelio is that it can be set up with up to five unique user profiles. The parental controls make it easy to block features and content from our kids while allowing us to use all the features we want to.
The Personality Packs are also pretty cool as well. The wallpaper that comes with it allows them to customize their own screen. If you are looking for a tablet for your kids or one that your whole family can share, check out the Vivitar Camelio 7” Android Tablet.
