I am participating in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for MetLife. I will receive a promotional item as a thank you for participating

I am sure we all know that Mother’s day is this Sunday! I can’t put in words how blessed I am to be able to be a mom. My kids mean so much to me so every day is Mother’s day for me. Sure Parenting is hard but it’s so worth it. I can’t see my life without my children. They are the reason I am who I am today! That is why I am taking part of the #SocialBlackout movement that MetLife has created. The #SocialBlackout movement, which challenges everyone to log off of social media on Mother’s Day (May 12th) and give Mom the time and attention she deserves! However, I am taking it a step further, I will be offline all weekend. As a blogger I admit I spend way too much time online. I have started cutting back the last few months but there is still times that I get carried away with social media and waste many hours that could be spent on my family.
This weekend I will enjoy my whole weekend with my family. Saturday we will be having our yearly Mother’s Day cookout. This is when all the men in the family cater to the women! Plus it’s the first time that everyone will be together in our new house! So that is also very exciting. Everyone always enjoys it and it’s great to have everyone together. Then Sunday I will spend it with my kids and hubby. We usually do something relaxing together. I have no clue what is planned this year! Since the kids are older they tend to keep secrets better and don’t give me hints or let it out of the bag like they did when they were smaller.
So Since I won’t be around this weekend I want to wish you all a very Happy Mother’s day! I can’t wait to read and see pictures from your day on Monday when I return!! And if you want to learn more or join in the #SocialBlackout movement visit http://on.fb.me/ZHDxFu
