I shared with you last month that I was participating in the CESAR Ambassador Program. Marley has always preferred the CESAR® brand of dog food over any other brand.  So when I heard about the New CESAR® Meaty Selects that come in a resalable 10-ounce can bursting with tender meaty chunks, I already knew he would love it. We were sent a nice variety of food for him to try.  I knew this was going to make him very happy!

Well, ok I didn’t know he would love it THIS MUCH! As soon as he sees us open the can he starts growling and barking at us! We can’t get it in his dish fast enough it seems.

I love the new resalable can! I can give him what he needs and reclose it and save the rest for later. This also allows me to serve it with his dry dog food or alone. Since he hates dry food I use this on top so he will still get his dry food in.  Since Marley is a small dog, I have always felt the need to make sure the food we get is made especially for smaller dogs.  I have always felt that Cesar was the best wet Food for Small Dogs like Marley.  I am sure Marley will agree.

We have tried many brands and in the process I have lost alot of money because he will refuse to eat it.  Everyone used to tell me if he gets hungry enough he would eat. Yea well not my dog. He would go smell it, look at it, then walk away and go lay back down looking sad! What kind of person would I be if I didn’t give in and give him something he liked to eat!  I wouldn’t do that to my children so I was sure not going to do it to my dog. He is just like a baby, so we treat him like we would our other kids. (LOL) So when we found Cesar it love at first bite for him! I also love that it’s high quality but at an affordable price!

However if you are thinking about changing dog food or adding to it make sure to do it in phases. Remember to introduce the new food gradually so as not to upset your dog’s stomach.

• For the first two days or so, your dog’s meals should be about 75% old food and 25% new food. Mix the two foods together, don’t keep them separated.
• If the first couple of days of the transition go smoothly, you can mix 50% of your dog’s old food with 50% of the new food on days 3 and 4.
• On days 5 and 6, your dog’s meals should be about 75% new food and only 25% of the old food.
• On day 7 let your dog enjoy 100% of the new Cesar dog food!

I am sure by now you know we love VeggieTales. So when we heard about the new DVD coming out we was super excited! The all-new DVD The Penniless Princess—God’s Little Girl went on sale August 14th.  The heart-warming story is based on the children’s book A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The story features plenty of engaging and fun music fit for families, including the all-new Silly Song “Best Friends Forever.” The DVD helps to teach an important lesson about knowing your own true worth and trusting God no matter what happens in life.

DVD Synopsis

Sweet Sarah Crew has everything a little girl could want – a loving family, lots of friends and a closet full of frilly dresses! But when life takes a turn and Sarah goes from riches to rags, will she realize that her true worth lies not in what she has, but what she has in her heart? Find out in this inspiring new story from VeggieTales that reminds kids who they are in God’s eyes.

In the story Sara has everything a little girl could want. She was born into riches, lots of family & friends, and a closet full of frilly dresses. Little did she know things was about to change. Her father had to go off to work and had to leave Sarah in an all-girls boarding school. Since her and her father was wealthy, everyone treated Sarah just like a princess like her father always did.

While away her father passed away. Things then changed for Sara, she had to become a servant and was treated very badly. All of her possessions were sold to pay for her stay in the boarding school and she’s forced to work for room and board. However, this still doesn’t get Sara down. She was always taught that no matter what she is always going to be a princess in God’s eyes.  Nobody understood how she could still feel this way.  No matter what happened she still stayed positive.

As a mother of girls, I really think this has to be my favorite VeggieTales so far.  It taught a very important lesson not only for girls but for EVERYONE! Princess Jada loved it and was almost in tears when the lady in charge started being mean to Sara after her dad died.  However, she started seeing that Sara would not let this get her down. Sara believes that every little girl is a princess no matter what it looks like in the outside it’s all about what is in the INSIDE! I have always tried to teach my daughters self-worth and this DVD help them see it hands on!

Singer/Songwriter Ronnie Freeman and VeggieTales joined forces to compile a music video titled “Orphan”—a beautiful song that celebrates our “adopted” status as part of God’s family.  The music video shows clips from the new Penniless Princess DVD, and you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5zlRABH9wQ.
