Did you know that February is actually National Hot Breakfast Month and February 9th was National Pancake Day? Yea, I admit neither did I but I was excited to learn about it and team up with Krusteaz this month for our family’s dinner for breakfast night! Let’s face it America loves breakfast for dinner!
I will be honest around here life is busy. There have been several nights that I don’t even plan dinner until around 5PM that night. When you have several kids in the house, you’re busy running them here and there, but at some point everyone has to stop and eat. When I was growing up, one of my favorite meals was always breakfast for dinner. I remember coming home from school and my mom would be preparing a delicious meal from scratch. Whether we were having pancakes or waffles, my mouth never let me forget the homemade taste.
So now that I am raising my own kids, I look forward to carrying on the tradition of breakfast for dinner. Sometimes we make breakfast for dinner on Wednesday nights, but we’ve been known to switch it up a little bit. However, the one thing we don’t switch up is what brands we use to make our breakfast for dinner. Krusteaz is a delicious brand of convenient, high quality baking mixes. I love that I can pass a tradition from my childhood down to my kids. I’m lucky with the fact that my kids aren’t incredibly picky eaters, but even if they were, I’m pretty sure that breakfast for dinner would be welcome any night of the week.
