As Parents we can all agree that helping our kids become successful is something we all stride for. We all know that as a parent our biggest responsibility is to prepare our children for the future, physically emotionally and mentally. I work very closely with my kids not only at home but also at school. Studies show that Children who are well prepared at home are more confident, enthusiastic, and involved at school. Children who have not received these vital inputs tend to be more withdrawn and less involved. I have always felt that Preparation begins at home right from the time your child is born.
A rich and diverse learning experience will help to create a complete and well developed personality. This is the best way to prepare your child for success in school. I started reading to my kids very early. I also felt the need to teach them everything I felt they should know well before the time they started pre-k. All three of my kids were ahead of their classmates in pre-k and kindergarten. I know many parents that feel that I may have been rushing my kids or teaching them way to soon. I understand their concerns but I would rather my child be ahead then be behind. I also believe that Encouraging Play Encourages a Child’s Development. Playing actually strengthens and refines small and large motor skills, and it builds stamina and strength. Sensory learning develops mostly through play. Play is significant to physical development in that without it the body could not grow and develop normally. Of course my kids are getting older now so we rarely use the word “Play” but we still make everything we do a game or something fun. I don’t want my kids to get bored so I had to learn how to make “Learning” fun.
Working closely with the school I always hear the same excuses, “I don’t have time, “I work full time” that’s what they come to school for”. I don’t understand how any parent don’t feel they have at least 15-30 mins a day to spend time with their child doing homework, reading, or just talking to them about what happened in school that day. Not only does this keeps kids motivated, it also strengthens the parent-child relationship.
Education is something we push very heavy in this house. Each of my kids has different learning needs and speeds so one method is not going to work with all 3 kids. That’s why I like to also use this time as one on one with my kids so they can have all the attention they need. The girls come home first so I always make sure me and princess Jada does her homework and spend our time Right after she comes home, Then jasmine is next. After dinner and while the girls are getting baths, that’s when I help my son and spend our time together. So Please parents Make Quality Time with your Child Count.
Don’t forget to click over to Pine-Sol®’s Facebook page to support our children’s success. I was selected for this Pine-Sol® sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

I agree that it’s not really to much to ask for to have a parent spend a minimum of 15 minutes with the kids each day helping!
This is very important and there are some parents who do not realize they should be involved in their child’s education.
