Last year my Son Graduated from Elementary school and princess Jada graduated from Pre-k. I admit I cried like a baby. The years just seem to fly by when they start school. This year I will be going to 2 more graduations! Princess Jada will be graduating from kindergarten and Jasmine will be following in Dre’s footsteps and graduating elementary school! The other day when the 5th grade teacher’s sent a notice home that all pictures and notes to the kids need to be in ASAP, that we want to be showed during the ceremony it hit me! The time is getting closer! I am not ready for this yet again so fast! I knew this day was coming. Starting middle school was a big thing this year for Dre. However, I knew he was ready. With Jasmine starting next year I have big fears. I am worried that she will not adjust like Dre. She doesn’t do well at change. Middle school is a big change, I seen it first hand as I have watched my son go thru his first year. At this age they start becoming teenagers, trying to find their selves, new friends, new attitudes, NEW EVERYTHING!
As the day and weeks are fast approaching I want this to be a memory we can share for a lifetime. This is a special event and a big milestone for each of the girls. I am making plans to for this day not only to be special but fun. We decided to throw a family and friends Graduation cookout for the girls. I also am in the process of making a photo book for jasmine that will highlight all her years in elementary school so she can always have those memories when she grows up. Sure she has yearbooks but I wanted this to be for her and full of her own special memories with the friends she has grew up with. Our first graduation rfom Montessori is in a couple of weeks. It did not even occure to me that I need to buy a guft for my 4 year old 🙂
