As you know we had a slumber Party Friday so you know what that means! MUSIC!  I had received the Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel Soundtrack that afternoon so Jada Just had to listen to it! We are big Fan’s Of Alvin and the chipmunks so we really enjoyed the soundtrack. It was so funny watching the kids sing and dance to it. OKKK I admit I joined right along lol… The Kids favorite tracks were you really got me, So what by the chipettes and of course Single ladies LOL!  The older kids liked it but not as much as the 5 year olds did! I didn’t know 5 years olds could get down like they did!
Since Having this CD Jada Has played it non-stop every DAY! Ok I like the Alvin and the Chipmunks but they are getting on my nerves really fast!

When I heard Alvin and the Chipmunks singing Beyonce’s Single Ladies in the ads for the movie, I went–GET OUT OF HERE! They tackled Beyonce’s song? Are they making an album of pop songs out of it? I’m way outside of the kids demographic, me being an adult, but they had the soundtrack on sale the same day that the DVD came out on March 30th. It was released in 2009, so I’m a few months late. But I got it and many of the songs were good and creatively done. I could not stop laughing out loud at the high pitched singing on some numbers. In some ways they updated the ’70s/80s songs with a Black Eyed Peas kind of sound such as Stayin’ Alive, You Spin Me Round and a funkier dance take of the Foreigner power ballad. And I liked how they paired two Max Martin -written songs at tracks 2 and 3, Pink and Katy Perry’s songs! And sometimes it does have music reminiscent of the boy band sounds of 1999-2000 such as NSYNC. The musicians sound good with their fresh updates of these hits. They’re that good on the Black Eyed Peas I Gotta Feeling! But I’ll tell you, I have never laughed and giggled this hard at how they sing these songs–many times it’s so hilarious with their squeaky voices! It’s very current with the songs they chose, from Alicia Keys to the Peas. Look, I’ll take hearing this over the Kids Bop series albums with kids singing terrible versions of pop songs!
