Since 1993, VeggieTales® has sold 54+ million videos, 13 million books and more than 7 million CDs, and I’ll tell you why. VeggieTales teaches kids values, and teaches them moral integrity, something that over the past decade or so seems to be lost in this world we live in. But as parents we want our kids to learn right and wrong, and VeggieTales DVD’s attempt to do just that, through fun and animated stories. In my opinion kids as young as 2 and even as old as 11 will surely gain something from watching the VeggieTales videos.
The newest video is no exception; it is an outstanding video and teaches kids a valuable lesson about being themselves.
Princess Poppyseed lives on her family’s farm where she helps milk the cows and tend to the farm, she dreams of bigger and what she thinks are better things. She wants to be on stage just like her favorite pop singer Vanna Banana. By contrast Vanna Banana dreams of a life far away from the hustle and bustle of her busy, yet very lonely life of stardom.
In an unsuspected meeting, the girls bump into one another at the playground, and they quickly discover that they look enough alike where they can pull off an ole switch-a-roo! So, you guessed it, they switch lives. It becomes apparent to each of the girls that life as they thought it would be just isn’t so. Grass isn’t always greener on the other side I’d like to say.
The movie teaches kids, both boys and girls alike, that each of us is made by God for a reason and with a purpose for our lives. We are all designed by God to be unique and slightly different from one another. Be yourself!
The DVD comes with some bonus features:
