I don’t know about you but during the cold months my skin is always the driest. I was recently sent a gift pack of Carmex healing lotions.

The kit included:
1 Carmex Healing Lotion
1 Carmex Healing Cream
1 Travel size Carmex Healing Lotion
1 Travel size Carmex Healing Cream
Many of you know Carmex for lip balm. For 70+ years, people have come to love Carmex, the lip balm like no other. Now, you can get that same healing power for your dry skin. The lotion contains rich moisturizers; aloe and vitamin E that help nourish the skin from head to toe.
I admit that I never heard about the carmex skin care line till now. I was really impressed with lotion and the healing cream. It didn’t leave that greasy feeling that some lotions do. However my favorite has to be the healing cream! Since it targets and repairs the toughest spots. It’s designed for those dry hands, feet, elbows and KNEES! If you know me I hate ashy elbows and knees with a passion. I carry lotion everywhere and have been known to call my kids to the side at basketball practice and even games to make them put lotion on! Hopefully since basketball season is starting I won’t have to do that anymore! I have got the whole family using this stuff! I am so impressed how well it works and especially for the price! They currently have a coupon to Save $1.50 on Carmex Skin Care so hurry and grab yours today!
BUT WAIT! One Lucky winner will win the same gift bag I did! To enter please leave a comment telling me how you protect your skin from the winter!

Last year I was able to review the Sansa® Fuze™+ MP3. My daughter loves it and its still working great. This year I was invited to try the new SanDisk® Sansa® Clip Zip™ MP3 Player thanks to Mom Central and SanDisk. I was really excited and knew that this one was going to be all mine.
This lightweight player is designed for convenient hands-free listening during workouts! You just clip it to your bag or clothing and you’re out the door. The Sansa Clip Zip includes a stopwatch for timing laps, an FM radio, a microphone for voice recording and a long-lasting battery for trips away from home. The player is easy to use, affordable and available in seven colors. I was able to get the red one! Plus it’s compatible with virtually every major media format, including iTunes songs and audio books. It also has a microSD card slot which lets you instantly expand the player’s storage capacity.
When the package arrived the kids was already trying to claim it. They learned really fast that nobody would be getting it. I got 3 sad faces but it wasn’t working! My Son really wanted it more for the pretty shiny red color! Since it would go great with all his UGA Items.
After I took a couple of pictures I went ahead and put my music on it. The set up was very easy. I think the hardest part of everything was getting it out of the box! I admit I had a really hard time getting the player out of the plastic! I wasted 5 minutes! Then I decided to just cut it open. After that everything else was smooth sailing.

My husband actually put the music on it since he is the “music man” around here. He has every type of MP3 Player on the market. He praised how easy putting music on this player was. I had to ask him what he meant since I thought all of them was the same. He said that all he had to do was plug it to your computer and just slide the music into the SanDisk Music folder. He also liked the clip part. I have been noticing that he is getting a little attached to MY NEW PLAYER! While he was running on the treadmill he had it on and clipped to the top his t-shirt!
The only thing that I see that could be changed is the usb cord. It’s really short and if I had to use it on my desktop it would be a pain! Since I use it on the laptop I have no issues. I think this is another keeper and will be used a lot! For only 49.99 this is well worth it!
But wait!! One lucky winner will win one!! However, that’s not all 4 extra winners will win a coupon code for 20% off Just enter below! I will pick the lucky winner 11/18/2011. The codes will be emailed and must be used by 11/25/2011.
*I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of SanDisk and received a product sample to facilitate my review, and coupons to giveaway*

Last week I shared with you about Stacy DeBroff and Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes partnering with Zoo Atlanta’s “Boo at the Zoo event. Unfortunately we were not able to make it to the event like I planned. If you read my Facebook you know my son made the 7th grade basketball team. So Of course he had his first all day practice that day! I was really excited and looking forward about covering the event and meeting Stacy but the kids come first.
However, I was still able to ask Stacy my questions and you can read the questions and answers below. .
What are some ways parents can help younger kids understand and stop the spread of germs at school?
Particularly with younger kids, we as parents can teach simple, concrete tips like coughing and sneezing into your elbow instead of your hands, not sharing snacks or drinks in the school cafeteria, and washing hands frequently. And even young kids can learn to keep their hands clean while out-and-about by carrying Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes in their backpacks. By instilling these habits early, parents can help children start off on the right path toward staying healthy.
Should parents keep smaller kids home from school when they have just a simple cold?
If the cold appears in the active stage — coughing, runny nose, sneezing — keep your child home from school. Also, err on the side of caution if your child seems to be coming down with something by having him stay home from day care or school for a day.
What changes should parents make at home during cough and cold season to keep kids healthy?
To keep kids healthy during cough and cold season, encourage them to get enough sleep by sticking to nap schedules for younger kids and keeping bedtimes consistent for older ones. And don’t forget to prepare healthy meals with lots of fruits and vegetables. When a cold does run through your family, go into laundry overdrive and wash your kids’ pillowcases and sheets in very hot water – even daily, if you can.
What should they do outside the home to prevent bringing home germs?
One of the best solutions centers around frequent handwashing, but we Moms know it can be tough to accomplish when daily activities take us away from soap and water. Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes provide us with the opportunity to keep kids’ hands clean while on-the-go — regardless of our location.
She gave some great answers to questions that I am always asking myself especially when it comes to sick kids and school! If you are a regular reader you know I hate parents that send their sick kids to school and get mine sick. I always keep my kids home when they are sick. Especially the first 24 hours. That gives me enough time to get medication in them to help fight it off.
I even picked me up a couple of boxes of Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes Singles this week to pack in Jada’s lunch! I always keep hand sanitizer in the kid’s book bags throughout the year but after trying the wipes I think they will be a great addition in keeping my kids’ germ free.
NOW AS I PROMISED…A GIVEAWAY! One lucky winner will win 4 tickets for ZOO Atlanta! These Tickets don’t expire till 10/31/2012 so that gives you plenty a time to visit the zoo! To Enter please share what you do to keep your kids germ free as possible. I will pick the lucky winner 11/13/2011
