Every woman likes a good beauty product, and by good beauty product I mean one that actually works, not just claims to work. What if I told you about a good beauty product that not only works, but actually does some good outside of making us women more beautiful?  Soap Hope does just that.  I sampled a couple of their products and not only did I feel clean but it smelled good also. The soap didn’t leave a film on my skin like a lot of soaps seem to do. No film, definitely a plus for me. I also tried their dish soap. My dishes were clean, and hey guess what, no soap film left on my hands, yay! They make makeup also, I tried one of their bronzers, and while it wasn’t exactly the right color for me, it was smooth and silky feeling, spread nicely and didn’t make my skin feel oily. I’m going to purchase some which is the right color for me.

Something else Soap Hope has going for them; their products are all natural, environmentally friendly. I received my samples in an “ugly box” which was just fine with me. By shipping in an “ugly box” they can make their prices more appealing, and thus they can give more profits away (which I’ll explain in next paragraph).

So, getting back to what I was telling you about earlier. Not only does Soap Hope make excellent products, but they do so while serving others. All profits earned by Soap Hope is given back to help provide opportunities to women in poverty. Wow! Can you believe it? That’s right, I said ALL profits are given back to provide opportunities to women in poverty. Wouldn’t it be grand if more companies ran on this policy? I don’t know about you, but I love candy. The problem is that candy doesn’t love me. Well, actually I guess candy does love me because when I eat it, it sticks to my body in the form of fat. My favorite kind of candy is anything chocolate, but next to chocolate I absolutely love licorice. I recently found a licorice product that is just out of this world. The taste was impeccable! I’d like to tell you a little bit about this new found favorite of mine.

Natural Vines is the name of the licorice; it is manufactured by The American Licorice Company in La Porte, Indiana.  Personally, I like to buy things that are American made, so that in itself is a pretty big plus for me.

Usually when I eat licorice I make sure that I am around water to wash my hands, that’s because my usual brand of licorice makes my hands sticky. Not Natural Vines. They are made with only natural flavors and colors from natural sources. They are sweetened with molasses and pure cane sugar. They do not contain any high fructose corn syrup, nor do they contain any preservatives. They have zero cholesterol, no Tran’s fats and are very low in sodium. Each bite size, soft and chewy piece is only 17 calories, and I can tell you that you only need to eat 3-4 to satisfy that sweet urge that comes upon you. Even with being all natural, they still taste fantastic! Who says you can’t have taste and still be health conscience?

Natural Vines comes in 2 flavors; Black and Strawberry. I prefer the strawberry, but the black is just as delectable as the strawberry. You might think that such a premium candy would be expensive, well they are not expensive. The suggested retail price for Natural Vines is only $3.49 for an 8oz bag. One bag lasted my family of 5 a week. That’s because as I previously told you, you only need 3-4 pieces to satisfy the sweet urge.

Teaching kids about the environment and how important each species of animals is can sometimes appear to be a daunting task. Never fear the ENDANGERBLES are here to help. Fred Bogert penned all 10 of the CD’s upbeat tunes in order to carry a message of protecting threatened wildlife and to introduce children of all ages to the wonderful world of animals. My favorite song on the CD is called “Extinction for Extinction” The song talks about more, but the most important part in my opinion is that we need to cause the word extinction to go extinct. There is no reason for any animal to go extinct if we work together to make a difference. Another one of the songs called “Reason to be here” discusses things that need to be done, and people need to be here to do them. “Who is going to make things better than they were before I came along?” All the songs on the CD address important things for kids and yes, even adults to learn.

Besides the CD, the website has interactive things for kids to engage in. Learn about the characters, play games, color, learn about different endangered animals. Kids become a deputy and take the deputy oath saying they will do their best to respect and protect all the species of our planet.

Whatever the age, from kids to adults, things can be learned from the CD and the website that are valuable to future of our animals and our planet. I definitely recommend this CD and website to all who care about this future.

With the kids all going back to school, I’ve come to the conclusion that I can no longer avoid the scale. I have got to do something about this extra weight and I am determined to make my new diet last!  I am currently doing the HCG diet again so its important that I weigh in daily.
