Despite all of the many capabilities of today’s smartphones, most have less than stellar built-in speakers. This makes it difficult to listen to your favorite music while participating in some activities. There are many options on the market these days, but most involve a cumbersome docking mechanism that can present limitations.  Altec Lansing is one of leading manufacturers of personal home speaker equipment and they came up with a handy device that solves this problem. The small, compact speaker that can be used with most any mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.  What they came up with is the Orbit Portable Wireless Speaker. So, when I was contacted about doing a review I was excited to try it out. As you know, it’s not secret that this household is music and speaker lovers!

 The Orbit is a compact speaker designed to be used with mobile devices to enhance the sound quality. It connects wirelessly using the bluetooth capability found in most mobile devices which eliminates the need for wires. While most portable speakers need to placed on a surface and plugged in to a power source, the Orbit runs on a Lithium-ion battery that holds a charge that lasts about 5 hours. Due to its compact size, you can carry it using the carabiner clip (included in the package) to a belt loop or bag.

Our Thoughts:

To be honest I should be making my son write this review! Like always someone seems to take over any speaker or headphone review, I get! I think I played with it for a whole 5 minutes before he claimed it and had it hooked up to his Iphone! He loves it! However, I had to ask him a few detail questions to get his response so I could finish my review!

We both agree that we are impressed with the sound quality! At first, we didn’t think that the sound quality would be what we were looking for due to the size but we were shocked!  He also loved the battery life that allows around 5 hours of play without the recharge.  He did say that he notices that the speaker cuts out if his iphone is not close by but that really isn’t a big issue. So, we give this speaker the thumbs up and recommend it. To be honest you will not find anything better for the price

My Thoughts:

I will admit when I took it out of the package I wasn’t sure that it would work as well as it claimed! To my surprise, it works and holds up even better then I thought! I am really impressed, so impressed that am going to be ordering more for everyone’s bathrooms! Before I placed it in my son’s bathroom I tested it in my office and was amazed how well it stuck to my shelf then all of the sudden it dropped!

So, I started having my doubts again so when I took it to my son’s bathroom I kept waiting for it to drop but it never did! I decided to hold off on the review to see how well it would hold up for my son and well you guessed it its still in the same place and position that I put it! So, it must have been user error in my office.

I really think this product will come in handy in a lot of homes but I will be honest  the price still has me on the fence when it comes to ordering as many as I need and want. (Yes I am cheap) The cost can easily creep up so I only see myself buying 5 at the most. I am interested in the Hot Iron Holster more and think that is the one I will be getting for the girl’s bathroom!

Our Thoughts:

My Niece loved it! She actually sat still and watched the whole thing in aww. She is 4 so if something doesn’t grab her attention in the first couple of minutes you can forget about it! As a parent I loved how bright and fun the colors was and the best part is the educational value it has! I also love that we can take it with us on the go and can watch it on all our devices including the new Amazon Fire TV when we are at home.

Our Thoughts:

We love it!! My husband has not found one thing to complain about yet! (that isn’t normal) He says that he can tell it’s actually better on his skin then the razors he was using. He has sensitive skin and he has not gotten any razor burns, which is great!  He also loves the fact that he can use it wet or dry! This was a big thing for him. He has also found that it’s great to take with him on those nights he is rushing out the door late for work! Overall, he was very impressed and even admitted that he should have upgraded a long time ago! The warranty does not cover products purchased open box, sold as-is, by private party resale or any other third party purchases from unauthorized distributors (including unauthorized distributors and resellers transacting via online marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay). Transfer of SOL REPUBLIC products through unauthorized distributors renders this warranty null and void. So make sure if you do buy on amazon. Com it says SOLD AND SHIPPED FROM AMAZON.  This Would get tricky when you get these for a gift and don’t know where they came from. But if your personally buying them from a authorized dealer you would be fine.

My Thoughts:

My family absolutely loves them; they are one of the best headphones that I have bought in a while. I love that they are tangle free, with the wire being flat. The sound quality is good and the ear bud pieces are not loose. They fit perfectly into my ears which is always a big plus since I have had issues with other brands not fitting right.. Plus My teenagers both approve and give them a thumbs up which is most important since they seem to know what’s hot and not when it comes to these type of things. I personally never notice the sound difference in earphones except for the cheaper ones lol!
